Congratulations to all those who took part in the 1st Media Marathon on 5th April 2009. A total of 100 joined in the fun, 90 adults and 10 children.

The fastest man Serafin Moreno Manzano (Fini) came in at 92 minutes, which was quite amazing considering the gradients & altitude.

The fastest lady Ana Manzano Gonzalez completed the course in 2 hours 18 minutes.

Next year the event will be even better as it is likely that there will be music and paella after the half marathon. The Web site and marathon organization will now be taken over by a new team and they will advertise the race dates and details via the marathon site.

A special thank you to all the volunteers, participants and companies that contributed and the individuals (behind the scenes) for their enthusiasm and hard work.

We have donated 490 euros to Spanish Red Cross and the new event managers will decide what charity they wish to support next year.
